Comparison of far field divergences of a collimated laser diode beam calculated by geometrical optics and Gaussian beam optics

Geometrical optics and Gaussian beam optics are used, respectively, to calculate the far field divergence of a collimated laser diode beam. The two results obtained are the same. This is a new finding.
