In this work, we developed a LED-induced fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) module with an integrated and compact structure. Based on a demonstrated development scheme, lucigenin solution was used as testing samples in the evaluation trials to elaborate on its fluorescence detection capability. Results show that the FCS module has an outstanding linear response in the range of 0 to 1 μmol·L-1; and its sensitivity and limit of detection (LOD) are 0.1692 V/μmol·L-1 and 0.03μmol·L-1, respectively. Statistical analysis shows that our FCS module has extremely high repeatability and accuracy, i.e., the values of Pearson's correlation coefficient and root-mean-square error are better than 0.9995 and 1.8‰, respectively. This module offers new opportunities for a reliable, cost-effective, and easy-to-use FCS, especially in resource-constrained applications.
