We demonstrate an electro-optic (EO) switch with ultralow DC drift on a thin-film lithium tantalate (TFLT) platform. The flat Vπ and EO responses at different driving frequencies, input optical powers, and temperatures have been measured. Stable optical switching is achievable in the DC to low-frequency range, even with SiO2 cladding and without post-annealing processes. This research will boost the applications of TFLT integrated photonics in stable and reconfigurable EO systems.
