CuO/CuFe2O4 and Fe2O3/ZnFe2O4 were both identified in two nanocomposites that have formed by combusting with subsequent heating to 700 °C. Utilizing XRD, FTIR, and XPS techniques, the produced composites were characterized. VSM technique, it was possible to evaluate the magnetic properties of the as-synthesized composites. The results revealed formation nanocomposites containing mainly spinel ferrites (CuFe2O4 and ZnFe2O4 as major phases) with some free oxides (CuO and Fe2O3 as minor phases). Fe2O3/ZnFe2O4 exhibited higher magnetism compared to CuO/CuFe2O4, based upon the particle size and cation distribution
