We present a varifocal near-eye display that overcomes eyebox limitations using a dual slit-mirror array configuration. This approach dynamically adjusts image depth to mitigate the vergence-accommodation conflict and forms a real image of the focus-tunable lens at the eye’s pupil plane, maintaining a constant eyebox size independent of the system's field of view. Additionally, we introduce a vision correction method for users with refractive errors, enabling clear image observation without prescription lenses, along with an image pre-compensation technique to reduce optical aberrations. Experimental results confirm the feasibility of our design, demonstrating simultaneous expansion of the eyebox and field of view, as well as improved image quality.
